Manina Zoumpoulaki returned to Kavala to present her new novel “I’m Dying for You”, at an evening dedicated to contemporary Greek literature and the book’s relationship with current social questions.
The presentation took place on the pedestrian section of Kassandrou Street, outside the Vasilis Vasilikos Municipal Library of Kavala, bringing together the author’s friends and readers from the city. The event was supported by the Municipal Library, the Association of Friends of Letters and Arts of Kavala, the Friends of the Library and Papadopoulos Publishing.
Eva Oikonomou-Vamvaka, Theopoula Tsapani and Anna Monogyiou spoke about the book, illuminating different aspects of its writing and themes. Kavala mayor Theodoros Mouriadis also attended.
The author discussed the path that led to the novel, the impulses behind its story and the enduring as well as contemporary social questions that concern her. The evening concluded with a lively conversation with the audience.
